Man gets jailed 30 months for blocking Mugabe’s motorcade

Trinity Gonongono, 33, of Chinotimba suburb in Victoria Falls was sentenced 30 months in jail when he appeared before Victoria Falls magistrate Lindiwe Maphosa after he was charged with failing to comply with lawful instructions given by the police.

Gonongono pleaded guilty to the charge and was jailed an effective 30 months in prison.  Gonongono did not give way to President Robert Mugabe‘s motorcade when it entered the resort town’s central business district. He was arrested on the spot.
